'I understand': Chelsea are now willing to sell 22-year-old player, Premier League clubs are keen - journalist

Chelsea look prepared to offload a couple of their attackers in the summer transfer window.

Cole Palmer, Raheem Sterling, Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke are the current wide options Mauricio Pochettino has available to him.

However, out of that quartet, Palmer has been the only real consistent one.

He has been in terrific form this season, scoring 23 goals and providing 13 assists in 39 games for Chelsea.

Palmer was absent from Chelsea’s heavy 5-0 loss against Arsenal and Pochettino is not sure whether he will be back for the Aston Villa game on Saturday.

Chelsea could sell winger this summer

Palmer will definitely not be going anywhere at the end of the season. Chelsea cannot cope without him.

However, two other Chelsea attackers could be departing by the looks of it.

According to journalist Simon Phillips, the Blues are willing to listen to offers for both Sterling and Madueke.

He wrote on his Substack: “There aren’t too many players that Chelsea would not at least listen to offers for this summer, and two of them I understand to be Noni Madueke and Raheem Sterling.”

Phillips also claimed that Madueke is already attracting interest from other Premier League clubs.

Should Chelsea listen to offers for Noni Madueke?

Madueke has not been in the headlines for the right reasons recently.

The 22-year-old was caught laughing after a Chelsea defeat at the same time Thiago Silva was seen crying, while the match before that he got himself in a scuffle over a penalty.

Nevertheless, there is still a lot to like about Madueke as a player. For example, he is a terrific dribbler.

The England U21 international has won the Blues penalties this season because of his dribbling ability. As per FBref, he has ranked in the 99th percentile for progressive carries and the 95th for successful take-ons.

Ultimately, Madueke can be a real handful for defenders. Chelsea should persist with him for a bit longer at least.
