Report: The situation involving Eze and Olise at Palace ahead of summer window, how both feel at Selhurst

Both Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise are going to be the targets of substantial interest this summer, but is a Crystal Palace exit likely?

For Oliver Glasner, the return of Michael Olise from injury has coincided with a three-game winning run, all against teams above him in the league.

Crystal Palace are on fire and it’s almost a shame that the season is ending and the special combination of Olise and Eberechi Eze could be split up.

Both are going to be targets for several top clubs across Europe this summer and it’ll be tricky to keep both, although they’ll be expensive.

Now their situation has been reported including how they feel about Palace…

What is the situation around Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise this summer?

This summer was always going to bring with it, rumours linking Crystal Palace’s prized jewels away from the club.

Now, a report from Alex Howell and the BBC has explained the situation around the club and what both Eze and Olise are thinking as we approach the summer.

Importantly, the report explains that with Palace now mathematically safe from relegation, financially no sales will be required, which places the ball firmly in the Eagles court.

Bids are expected to arrive for both, and Palace have placed £60m as the minimum starting price for negotiations to take place.

Both players are on long-term contracts and are also both said to be happy at Palace, which means they won’t move for the sake of it, but rather a move must make sense and benefit them stylistically.

This suggests that an exit for at least one is almost certainly on the cards, but if it happens, Palace are already well prepared.

Crystal Palace already have their replacements lined up

For Palace losing Eze and Olise would be catastrophic, although it wouldn’t be something which would leave Palace in the lurch.

Since January at least, countless names have been linked with being signed this summer, all names being ones which would be direct replacements for the key duo.

One name has been Jaden Philogene, as he’s been linked with a move which would cost over £30m.

Another was Matias Soule although he’s now looking unlikely as he’s expected to stay at Juventus.

A consistent favourite is Jonathan Rowe of Norwich as he’s likely to make a Premier League move.
