What did Joachim Andersen do brilliantly vs West Ham

Against David Moyes’ Hammers on Sunday, there were multiple standout performers for Palace.

Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta were two who were named in Alan Shearer’s team of the week.

But it is Andersen who had the most surprising success in the game.

As per The Other 14, Andersen, despite playing as a centre-back, was sixth on the list of players who created the most chances over the weekend.

This might not seem like a big deal, but it is a massive sign of how Glasner has changed the play style at Selhurst Park.

Andersen even assisted a goal for Olise with that brilliant cross.

Crystal Palace are a drastically different side now and this game proved it

For Palace, the biggest change under Glasner is mentality and this game proved it.

With Glasner at the helm, the entire team are a unit and committed to playing attacking football.

Having Andersen in the opponent’s box and assisting goals just shows the confidence which has been instilled into this side under the Austrian.

it’s something we wouldn’t have dreamt of seeing under Roy Hodgson and now it’s safe to say that the Eagles are a brand new team, for the better.

We cannot wait to see how this new style fares against Newcastle on Wednesday night.
