Report: What Oliver Glasner has now done to reward Crystal Palace players after superb run of form

After going four games unbeaten against Fulham, Oliver Glasner has rewarded his Crystal Palace side, here’s how.

Oliver Glasner watched his side make it four games unbeaten on Saturday during a 1-1 draw with Fulham. This however saw the winning streak come to an end.

For Crystal Palace, the draw will be disappointing, but 10 points from a potential 12 is a phenomenal achievement, especially considering the previous four games weren’t great.

In Saturday’s draw, Adam Wharton was once again a shining light for the Eagles, although it was Jeffery Schlupp who stole the headlines as he scored a worldie to equalise.

This of course succeeded the wins over Newcastle, West Ham and Liverpool which has now led Glasner to reward his players this week.

How Oliver Glanser has rewarded his team this week

After such immense form over the past few weeks, the Palace players were deserving of a reward, now the Austrian manager has given them just this.

It’s according to the Standard and journalist Dom Smith, that Glasner has now rewarded his players for their form with some extra days off.

Glasner handed his players a day off on Sunday and will also give them some extra days off stretching into this week.

This seems a smart plan from Glasner given his side have been working hard and played three games last week alone.

It’s also a move which shouldn’t impact preparations going forward considering the Eagles won’t be playing until next Monday against Manchester United.

How will Crystal Palace end the season?

Giving his players some rest will only benefit Palace and Glasner as we head toward the final three games of the season.

The games Palace have left aren’t easy, although Glasner’s recent form will have him confident that the Eagles can beat anyone.

Next up, Selhurst Park welcomes United who have looked very poor in recent weeks, being outplayed by Burnley this past weekend.

After that, it’ll be a game in which neither side will be fighting for anything apart from pride against Wolves.

The league will then draw to a close against Aston Villa at Selhurst, and we can then direct focus on the summer transfer window.
