Collingham and Balderton Cricket Clubs both get wins in the Nottinghamshire Premier League Division Two

Balderton bounced back from their season opener collapse to achieve a solid win on the road against Clipstone in the Nottinghamshire Premier League Division Two.

The side won by six wickets after bowling the hosts out for 134.

Alex Dickinson and Scott Barnsdale achieved three wickets each after Balderton won the toss, electing to field.

Opener Steve Ryder then hit 26 before falling while Shalith Fernando steadied the ship hitting 61 not out.

Recent addition Joe Attewell performed well on debut as he hit 18 not out.

Balderton will be back on the road against Mansfield Hosiery Mills on Saturday, with the match to commence at 11.30am.

Collingham continued their strong start as they defeated Gedling on the road by ten wickets.

Jon Miller tore through the batting order taking six wickets for 17 runs as Gedling were toppled for only 51.

Openers Jack Copley and Joe Saxleby made short work of the total as they achieved it in under 13 overs.

Collingham will now host Clipstone at Dale Field on Saturday with the match to start at 11.30am.
