Report: Crystal Palace player could now make his first appearance under Oliver Glasner after new development

Oliver Glasner could have his Crystal Palace at almost full strength as a new development suggests one player will return.

Since arriving at Selhurst Park in February, Oliver Glasner hasn’t had his strongest team available once, but it’s nearing that point.

With just three tricky fixtures remaining this season, Crystal Palace will be delighted to finally see something resembling a first-choice line-up against Manchester United on Monday.

With Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze fit, along with Adam Wharton and Jean-Philippe Mateta, it will be a cracking game.

For the Eagles though, it’s one big return which will be leading the excitement heading into this game.

Marc Guehi set for return against Manchester United

One player who has yet to even feature for Palace since Glasner’s arrival has been Marc Guehi.

The centre-back was out with a knee injury during the final of Roy Hodgson‘s reign – a 4-1 loss to Brighton – and is only just now, nearing his return.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, Guhei has been completely re-integrated into full training now and will be in the squad to face United on Monday.

This will delight the defender, as he has also beaten the race to be fit for Euro 2024, with a potential England call-up.

This summer however could see the end of Guehi’s time at Palace with Arsenal and United both keen on him.

Where does Guehi start for Crystal Palace now?

In his absence, Palace have become a completely different side to what Guehi was used to under Hodgson.

He arrives at a back three as opposed to a back four, which is a huge shift in the system, so where does he fit in?

With Guehi back, albeit unlikely to start, we probably see the same trio as we saw last weekend.

Nathaniel Clyne, Joachim Andersen and Chris Richards all starting as they’ve overseen the four-game unbeaten streak.

If ready to make a cameo, we see Guehi replacing Clyne on the right side of the back three.
