Tottenham fans angry with what Ange Postecoglou and Mauricio Pochettino did before Tottenham vs Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left furious with what they saw Ange Postecoglou and Mauricio Pochettino do last night.

It was another brutal 90 minutes for Tottenham who have now been unable to take a single point from a Chelsea side that have struggled all season.

Ange Postecoglou‘s side were well beaten last night with the Australian left visibly infuriated on the touchline throughout the 90 minutes.

Tottenham’s season is now well and truly fizzling out with Champions League football now nothing more than a pipedream.

And it has to be said, this Spurs side are nowhere near capable of competing in the elite European competition as they currently stand.

But it was not just Postecoglou who left seething last night with the Tottenham fans also not delighted with what they saw pre-game from Pochettino and the Australian.

It was the second meeting between the old and new Spurs managers and it’s now twice Pochettino has sealed the points.

What Ange Postecoglou did that upset some Tottenham fans last night

A trip to Stamford Bridge has never been easy for Tottenham and they have only won there once in over 30 games.

However, a side which has ambitions of playing Champions League football has to capitalise on the opportunity they were handed last night.

Pochettino’s side have been far from their best this season and are currently riddled with injuries.

And yet, Spurs looked like a side whose season was already over with players like Heung-min Son and Pape Matar Sarr looking lost on the night.

Performance aside, a video posted by Tottenham prior to the game left the Spurs fans enraged.

An interaction between the two managers who were captured on X greeting each other with a welcome hug inside the Chelsea stadium.

And it is fair to say the Spurs fans did not enjoy the embrace between Postecoglou and their former manager with one simply saying, ‘BOOOOOOO’.

Another fan chipped in with, ‘Thanks I hate it’. Whilst another Spurs fans stated, ‘Keep your hands off our manager please’.

One Tottenham fan directed this message to the club, ‘Have some shame’. That sentiment was shared elsewhere with another saying, ‘You really have no shame do ya. So out of touch it’s unreal.’

Looking back on it after the game, one fan simply said, ‘It was over before it begun. State’.

Some players may now be playing for their future under Ange Postecoglou

The summer transfer window is going to give the 58-year-old another shot at making the changes he needs at Hotspur Way ahead of the new season.

Some of the displays recently been seen by some players has simply not been good enough with the likes of Yves Bissouma looking like a shadow of the player who started the season.

It would be easy to say players like him now just need the summer to reset, but the Mali midfielder has now been out of form since October last year.

Spurs are said to be keen on signing a midfielder this summer with the likes of Conor Gallagher being heavily linked as Chelsea are now believed to be open to selling.

With this, Postecoglou will surely need to see better performances between now and the end of the season from Bissouma to consider him for his plans ahead of the new term.
