What Chelsea fans were chanting in the second half of their 2-0 win against Tottenham

Chelsea fans brought somewhat of a party atmosphere to Stamford Bridge last night, with them enjoying their day out for sure.

The Blues rewarded them with a stellar display on the pitch, winning 2-0 against arch-rivals Tottenham.

Goals from Trevoh Chalobah and Nicolas Jackson secured all three points for a Chelsea side who need every single point they can get in the race for Europe right now.

While both goalscorers were on top form last night, the same can be said about a lot of players wearing blue last night.

One of those who really brought his best was Marc Cucurella, playing in a slightly different role again.

The Spaniard continued to invert from left-back and do a lot of his work in the middle areas of the pitch in a similar way to how he did in the second half of the game against Aston Villa.

It would be fair to say that it was arguably Cucurella’s best performance in a Chelsea shirt, and one he desperately needed with the transfer window coming up shortly.

It seems the supporters inside Stamford Bridge were equally as impressed with his display, with journalist Nizaar Kinsella taking toTwitter to share what chants he was hearing last night.

He said: “Chants for Cucurella at Stamford Bridge. He deserves it. He’s playing very well with a high work load tonight (and vs Villa). Great to see fans reward him with chants after he got booed last season.”

The turnaround in fortunes has been something pretty remarkable from the left-back, who it looked for all intents and purposes was going to be sold at the end of the season.

However, with his strong end to the campaign it would feel crazy to sell him at thug point, especially seeing in the last two games what they can get out of him if used correctly.
