A Wisbech man who was trying to fight with members of the public on a night out “was not making much sense” according to police.
Joseph Ingram, 23, of Myles Way appeared at King’s Lynn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday where he admitted to being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
Prosecutor Paul Brown said that the incident took place on March 10, when Ingram was on a night out in King’s Lynn and was trying to fight members of the public on Norfolk Street.
Officers spotted him and thought that he was drunk, they also heard Ingram using bad language. He had to be removed from the area by officers.
“He wasn’t making much sense because he was so drunk,” said Mr Brown.
He appeared unrepresented in court and only said: “I don’t really need to say a lot, thank you.”
For the offence, he was fined £40 and was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £16 and court costs of £105.
