Phil Foden sends three-word message to Erling Haaland after Man City's 5-1 victory vs Wolves

Phil Foden sent a three-word message to Erling Haaland after Manchester City took Wolves to the cleaners with a 5-1 win.

Jeremy Doku also praised his teammate, claiming he was “on fire” as he scored four goals against Gary O’Neil’s side.

Phil Foden and Erling Haaland showcased against Wolves that they could be the deadly duo for Manchester City in the future.

Foden and Haaland have shown on plenty of occasions that they share a great understanding with each other on the pitch.

But the dynamic duo at the Etihad Stadium still mainly features Kevin De Bruyne setting the Norwegian up.

Manchester City’s number 47 assisted Erling Haaland by playing a long pass right into his path in a similar way to how David Silva often used to find Sergio Aguero up top.

Foden sends three-word message to Haaland as City beat Wolves

Considering Silva was seated at City during the game, he must have been proud watching Foden play the pass he did.

After all, the Spaniard played with the treble-winner right from when he was a teenager.

Considering David Silva has previously claimed that he would have loved to play with Erling Haaland, he was perhaps slightly gutted he could not after witnessing him put in a goalscoring display for the ages.

However, Silva perhaps does not have much to regret.

Having played with Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez and Edin Dzeko to name a few.

Going back to Haaland, he is perhaps going to be the biggest talking point after the weekend’s action and rightfully so.

Phil Foden hailed Erling Haaland after Manchester City gave Wolves a footballing lesson.

“Huge three points at home! We keep going. Congrats my mate @erlinghaaland”, he captioned his post-match Instagram post.

Nice to see the unity in the squad as Haaland praise continues

As previously mentioned, much like Phil Foden, Jeremy Doku also lauded Erling Haaland after Manchester City defeated Wolves.

Considering a lot of the focus at City tends to be on Haaland, in a team full of big personalities, one could expect there to be a clash of heads.

Squads with top players are known to have big egos.

But that does not seem to be the case at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City are well and truly a team and their players seem to have no problem highlighting their star man’s brilliance time and time again.
