More industrial strike action will result in further potential delays on routes to and from London this week.
Aslef, the train drivers' trade union, will continue its campaign of implementing strikes and an overtime bans from today until Thursday (May 7 to 9) due to complaints about their compliance with existing agreements.
LNER has issued warnings to passengers that this latest move will mean limited services between Edinburgh and King's Cross, including Peterborough, Grantham, and Doncaster, and will result in no services to places such as Lincoln, Harrogate, Skipton, and Bradford Forster Square.
This will lead to later first services and earlier last services.
The strikes on Thursday will also affect services on Northern and TransPennine Express lines. Other services will also be affected on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Passengers are urged to check their seats, reserve their places, and if possible, claim a refund on LNER's website.
Aslef accuses LNER of failing to adhere to negotiation procedures by using driver managers and driver instructors to work on strike days.
However, LNER says its priority focus remains on minimizing disruption to customers and has encouraged Aslef to work with it to end the long-running dispute.
Drivers at 16 rail companies were due to strike across April and May due to long-running disputes over pay. However, the majority of those have now concluded, and Tube strikes due to take place in May have been called off.
The Rail Delivery Group, representing train operators, wants to resolve the dispute but warned of post-Covid costs to taxpayers.
