£80,000 resurfacing project set to close B1113 Redgrave Road, South Lopham, for trio of dates

A South Lopham road is set to be closed for a number of dates as a £80,000 resurfacing projects takes place.

The B1113 Redgrave Road will initially be closed on May 17 to surface dress the road.

But Norfolk Highways say that it will be necessary to close the road to through traffic on a number of dates so that the surfacing can be done, line painting is carried out and cat’s eyes (road studs) are to be renewed.

The work, which is weather dependant, will be carried out in phases with any road closures only in place for a number of hours on the following dates:

► May 17: Road stud removal – evening / overnight works – starting at 7pm.

► June 14: Surface dressing – evening / overnight works – starting at 7pm.

► June 24: Road marking and road stud replacement - evening / overnight works – starting at 7pm.

During the time the £80,000 work is carried out by Norfolk County Council’s community and environmental services department, contractors Tarmac and Keir Highway Services, a fully signed diversion route will be in operation.
