Richarlison admits he’s really excited for next season after what Ange Postecoglou has just said at Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison has now admitted he has loved hearing what Ange Postecoglou has recently said.

It is now just a matter of days until Tottenham‘s first season under Ange Postecoglou comes to a close.

Three games remain in the Lilywhites’ Premier League campaign with Burnley, Manchester City and then Sheffield United still to play.

A largely positive campaign can be taken from 2023/24 with some recent bumps in the road towards the backend of the term.

Finishing in the Europa League would be a big improvement on what was offered last season under Antonio Conte as Spurs finished down in eighth.

It is a season which has mirrored the campaign of Richarlison whose bright spells have also come with numerous issues.

However, the Brazilian has now spoken of his excitement ahead of the new season after what he has heard his manager say.

What Ange Postecoglou has said which has excited Richarlison

The season may be ending in a style which Spurs would not have hoped for having lost their last four league games.

But there has been improvement on the whole with some clear ways for which Tottenham can come back stronger next season.

The number of goals conceded through set pieces has been a huge issue, but it should provide the manager with a fairly simple way to cut out a significant number of goals conceded.

And then there is, of course, the summer transfer window where Daniel Levy can help Postecoglou make this squad his own.

The Australian has already said players will be moved on to create change, “We’ve already made tough decisions, we let some experienced players leave the club at the beginning of the year, some by choice. But again, I feel like if we’re really going to change, that means change.”

This has been music to the ears of Richarlison who has told ESPN Brazil that it creates excitement for what is to come at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“We have played a much more dynamic and, let’s say, more elegant and beautiful football than last season,” he said.

“But we have evolved, we have evolved a lot and I believe that, as of this week, it has already been announced that the coach will make changes.

“So I believe that next season he will be putting together a much more competitive team.”

Should Tottenham keep Richarlison for next season?

The Spurs News understand Tottenham would be open to the idea of moving on Richarlison this summer if the right offer is to come in.

But he showed on Sunday once again that he could potentially be a very competent striker for the Lilywhites.

Sky Sports man Jamie Redknapp was left blown away by the 26-year-old who came on and changed the dynamic for Spurs at Anfield.

Prior to his latest injury, the Brazilian was on a sensational run of form where he scored nine goals in 10 league games.

The injuries have been a real issue with his game time severely hindered over recent months. Regardless of whether Tottenham keep or sell him, they need another striker.

However, he has the perfect opportunity to make a claim for himself on the weekend against a poor Burnley side who concede goals for fun under Vincent Kompany.
