Report: How Thomas Tuchel actually feels about joining Chelsea after reports linking him to the manager's job

Reports have shared how Thomas Tuchel actually feels about taking over as Chelsea manager at the end of this season.

Despite an impressive run of form as we approach the end of the season, there is still no security over the job of Mauricio Pochettino.

It has been claimed that it is Europa League or bust for the Argentine to keep his role at the club, with the Blues currently sitting in seventh in the table.

With there no clarity over who will be in charge come the first game of the season, the rumour mill is continuing to throw up a number of top names in the game.

One of those is former boss Thomas Tuchel, who is set to be out of a job himself at the end of the season whether he wins the Champions League with Bayern Munich or not.

It was claimed recently by sources in Germany that he would be intrigued by a return to the Premier League, with the Blues being one of the sides who he was interested in joining.

Tuchel not actually interested in Chelsea job

However, The Athletic have now stated that he has no interest in coming back to the club who sacked him just weeks into the season in the last campaign.

It seemed that Tuchel did not suit what the new owners were looking for in a manager, and a lot of bridges were burned in their short periods that overlapped atStamford Bridge.

If Pochettino is sacked at the end of the campaign, there are a number of other options who could come in.

One of those is Roberto De Zerbi, whose Brighton side will actually play a key role in whether Chelsea qualify for Europe next season, with the two sides facing each other in just over a week’s time.
