MANHATTAN CRIMINAL COURT — Former President Donald Trump's lawyer was immediately shut down Thursday morning at the onset of her cross-examination of adult film star Stormy Daniels.

Susan Necheles hit a brusque tone when she demanded of Daniels, "You recall you did an interview and said the claims you had sex with President Trump was bull----?"

Prosecutors with the Manhattan District Attorney's office immediately called out, "Objection!"

Justice Juan Merchan sustained the ruling, but Necheles doubled down, demanding "But do you remember?"

Merchan called out "sustained!" again and the lawyers were summoned to his bench.

This swift shut-down occurred two days after Daniels first appeared in the Manhattan criminal courtroom where Trump stands trial on charges that he falsified business records cover up hush money he paid her ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

Trump stormed into the courtroom about 9:25 a.m. and, once seated, began gesticulating hurriedly at Necheles, who cross-examined Daniels on Tuesday.

Prosecutors scored an early victory before Daniels took the stand when they successfully objected to Trump's lawyers entering Daniels' 2003 arrest record into evidence.

"Anyone can be arrested," Merchan said. "It didn't result in conviction...That doesn't prove anything."

On Tuesday, Daniels shared lurid details of a sexual encounter she said had with Trump in 2006, the former president denies the affair and has pleaded not guilty to charges levied by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Daniels Tuesday faced questioning from both the prosecution and Trump's attorneys, one of whom Justice Juan Merchan ordered to tell Trump to stop cursing out loud.

Merchan also expressed surprise that Trump's attorneys did not raise more objections as Daniels detailed an experience New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman described as "humiliating" to the former president.

Trump's attorney Todd Blanche attempted to file for a mistrial on the grounds Daniels' testimony was prejudicial, but it was swiftly slapped down Tuesday morning by Merchan.

Daniels also testified Tuesday that Trump had called her "honeybunch," which the former president's niece Mary revealed is a common term of endearment within the family.

Would-be spectators arrived outside the courthouse as early as 4 a.m. to join a growing line of people hoping to watch Daniels testify against the former president.
