The A140 Ipswich Road, at Tivetshall St Mary to close for four nights for resurfacing work

A road at Tivetshall St Mary is set to be closed for four nights for more than £130,000 worth of resurfacing work to take place.

Work to surface dress a section of the A140 Ipswich Road is due to start on Thursday, May 16, with three other dates also set for lining painting and cat’s eyes (road studs) to be renewed.

Access to properties on the road will be maintained at all times.

The work, set to cost £132,900 and being carried out by Norfolk County Council’s community and environmental services department and their contractors, will be on the following nights:

May 16: Road stud removal, starting at 7pm.

June 27: First dressing of road, starting at 7pm.

July 5: Second dressing of road, starting at 7pm.

July 16: Stud fitting and road lining, starting at 7pm.

A fully signed diversion route will be in operation for the duration of the works.
