Ukrainian forces conduct clearance operations in northern Vovchansk: Battles in Kharkiv region

Ukrainian troops are conducting clearance operations in the northern outskirts of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region to remove Russian forces. Additionally, battles have begun for the village of Starytsia, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The General Staff reported that as of 5:00 p.m., battles are ongoing in the Kharkiv direction. The number of combat engagements increased to 12.

"Our units have inflicted fire damage on the enemy, pushed it back, and are conducting clearance operations on the northern outskirts of Vovchansk," military officials explained.

The General Staff also reports that a firefight has begun in the vicinity of the settlement of Starytsia. Total enemy losses amounted to 106 individuals, 25 units of weaponry, and military equipment.

Fighting in the Kharkiv region

Recently, the Russian forces tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops in the north of the Kharkiv region and partially advanced in this direction. The Russian army is actively shelling Vovchansk, which is located five kilometers from the border with Russia.

At the same time, fighters of the Russian Volunteer Corps published a video of an armored personnel carrier killing Russian soldiers who were trying to gain a foothold on the northern outskirts of Vovchansk.
