'It felt mad': Mikey Moore shares what he found 'crazy' after coming on for Tottenham vs Man City

Mikey Moore has opened up on what he found crazy after coming on for his competitive Tottenham Hotspur debut against Manchester City on Tuesday night.

Mikey Moore was introduced in stoppage-time at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, shortly after Manchester City had taken a 2-0 lead to kill off the game and ensure that they would be returning to the top of the Premier League table.

Ange Postecoglou was clearly taking the game as seriously as possible amid a backdrop of some Tottenham fans being fearful that they may end up aiding Arsenal’s title push.

But with the score 2-0, Postecoglou decided that the time was right to introduce the 16-year-old, who had been on the bench for the previous three games.

Moore managed to get a couple of touches of the ball before the full-time whistle. And he explained to the Spurs media team after the defeat that he was almost taken aback by the pace of the game.

“It was good. The pace was so quick. It felt crazy coming on, it felt like I was playing FIFA. It felt mad.
Coming on and trying to press, they moved the ball so quick. I got a couple of touches of the ball and hopefully some more soon,” he said.

All eyes may now be on Wednesday’s results

There is a possibility that Tottenham go into the final day of the season with fifth place wrapped up, depending on what Newcastle United and Chelsea do in their respective games on Wednesday.

With that, it would be interesting to see whether Ange Postecoglou is tempted to hand Moore a full debut against Sheffield United.

Clearly, he was not at all happy with some following Tottenham’s defeat, and he may be looking to really shake things up before the summer.

Moore has 14 goals in 12 games in the Under-18 Premier League this season, so he has earned this chance to be in and around the first-team at this stage of the campaign.

It would be very interesting to see how he gets on should he get more minutes this weekend.
