‘Will get done’: Journalist says ‘strong’ player should sign for Newcastle this summer

Newcastle are being linked with a number of potential signings heading into the summer transfer window.

The Magpies are, quite clearly, in the market for a new centre-back, and one player who has been consistently linked in recent weeks is Tosin Adarabioyo.

The Fulham defender is set to become a free agent at the end of the season, and Newcastle are keen to swoop.

According to Craig Hope, speaking on his YouTube channel, Tosin is likely to join Newcastle this summer, with the defender thought to be excited by the project that has been sold to him by Eddie Howe.

Tosin Adarabioyo to Newcastle likely to get done

Hope spoke about the ‘strong’ defender.

“Tosin Adarabioyo. My information is that the formal offer was made to him over the weekend. Tosin knows the project at Newcastle, I’m told he’s excited by that, he likes what he’s been told.

“At the moment Newcastle are absolutely the frontrunners on that one. Should it all be ok in terms of money and numbers involved, we could see movement on that in the next few days or the next couple of weeks,” Hope said.

“That makes too much sense, good age, good profile, again, I think that one will get done.”

Tosin could be ideal for Newcastle

This would be a great way to kick off the transfer window for Newcastle.

Not only is Tosin a very talented defender, he’d also be a free transfer.

With Profit and Sustainability rules posing plenty of problems for Newcastle this summer, this sort of shrewd signing will be huge in terms of unlocking other avenues for investment and further incomings.

Of course, no deal is ever done until pen is put to paper and an announcement is made, but, by the sounds of it, it may not be long before Tosin is plying his trade on Tyneside.
