Man City vs West Ham: TV channel, kick-off time, team news, prediction and how Blues can win the Premier League over Arsenal

Man City vs West Ham. Nine months of toil and a gruelling 38-game campaign all come down to this. One final match.

After finally wrestling top spot off Arsenal in the week with a 2-0 win over Tottenham courtesy of Erling Haaland’s goals, Manchester City are in the ascendency.

But if we know anything from the Blues on what should be simple final days, there is always the potential for things to get nervy and dramatic.

It took Sergio Aguero’s last-gasp winner to clinch the title in 2012 while Ilkay Gundogan’s double in 2022 saw City come from two down against Aston Villa to reclaim their crown.

West Ham can’t move up or down from their position in 9th and it’s David Moyes’ final game in charge but that still doesn’t mean things will go simply.

Here’s everything you need to know about what is set to be an emotional final day of the Premier League season for Pep Guardiola’s side, whatever happens.

How Manchester City can win the Premier League over Arsenal

It’s very simple. If Manchester City defeat West Ham then, regardless of what Arsenal do against Everton, they will be champions for the fourth time in a row.

In fact, if both teams have the same result then City will win the title but anything less than a win would be playing with fire.

Should City only draw and Arsenal win, then the Gunners will claim the title on goal difference, with Mikel Arteta’s side having a one-goal advantage going into the final day.

If City lose and Arsenal can only draw then the trophy will still come to Manchester but a loss and Arsenal win will see it return to North London for the first time since 2004.

Man City vs West Ham team news

City have been dealt a huge blow ahead of the match as Ederson has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

The goalkeeper had to be taken off against Tottenham – the fourth time this season – after a nasty collision which left him with a fractured eye socket.

Kevin De Bruyne also went off after receiving a blow to his Achilles but was hopeful he’d be fine to play on the final day.

He told Sky Sports: “I think I’m alright.”

“It’s a bit sore but it’s just the place, the Achilles is really sore at the moment and it felt like it was a knife at the moment from the impact but it’s an impact so it’s not bad. It’ll be alright.”

West Ham are without centre-back duo Konstantinos Mavropanos and Nayef Aguerd as well as on loan City man Kalvin Phillips.

He’s injured anyway but the midfielder would be ineligible to play for against his parent even if he wasn’t.

Man City vs West Ham prediction

City are the overwhelming favourites to win the game and the title. They haven’t lost a match in the league since December and it’s hard to see West Ham being the ones to stop them now.

But that doesn’t mean things will be simple. Or easy.

Nerves can play a major factor – as Manuel Akanji displayed when he lost the ball to Son Heung-min on Wednesday – and City tend to make things difficult on the final day.

Prediction: Manchester City 3-1 West Ham.
