Arsenal fan and cafe owner gets brilliant message from West Ham star who's one of his regulars

An Arsenal supporting cafe owner has received a brilliant response from a West Ham star who’s one of his regulars.

Arsenal’s attempts to incentivise West Ham to do them the mother of all favours this weekend has reached new levels.

The Gunners and their fans are doing everything in their power to try and motivate West Ham to help them win the Premier League title.

It has all come down to a final day title decider in the Premier League this Sunday as West Ham go to Manchester City.

Arsenal need to take care of business by beating Everton at home while hoping West Ham can beat or hold Man City to a draw at the Etihad.

The irony of the situation has not been lost on fans of either club.

West Ham supporters have been mercilessly goaded by some of their Arsenal counterparts after they swiped away their captain Declan Rice in a £105m deal last summer.

West Ham to decide title fate for Rice and Arsenal

Now those same fans are desperately pleading for West Ham to help them win the title.

Hammers fans knew Rice was leaving them last summer but were angered by his decision to snub Man City for a London rival.

To rub salt in the wound, Rice said he left West Ham for Arsenal to compete for – and win – the top trophies.

They don’t come much bigger than the Premier League title and, as fate would have it, Arsenal and Rice’s dreams now rest in the hands of his old team.

The Hammers have nothing to play for beyond professional pride after their ninth place finish was sealed in midweek.

Only Jarrod Bowen has personal motivation given he is playing for a place in the England squad for the Euros. Bowen has actually been training with Michael Owen this week and Arsenal fans will love what he saw.

David Moyes has already had his big farewell and West Ham have not beaten Man City in the Premier League since 2015 – although there have been three draws in that time and a victory in the League Cup.

Arsenal fans were getting their hopes up amid speculation that West Ham were due a £5m bounty from the Rice deal if they won the title.

But West Ham exclusively confirmed to Hammers News yesterday that is not the case and clarified the exact nature of the bonus structure.

Mikel Arteta has spoken about his love for former mentor Moyes in the build-up and hopes he and West Ham can “help Arsenal realise their dream”.

Cafe owner and Arsenal fan gets brilliant response from Coufal

Now one Gunners fan has come up with a rather novel new incentive.

A cafe owner who supports Arsenal got a brilliant response from a West Ham star who is one of his regulars.

Vladimir Coufal is a cult hero at West Ham.

The warrior right-back is the kind of guy you’d want next to you in the trenches.

The popular Czech defender frequents a cafe in London which is, evidently, owned by an Arsenal fan.

Now it has emerged that the cafe owner has messaged Coufal privately on social media offering him free coffee for life if he helps West Ham hold Man City to a draw on Sunday.

And his response is brilliant.

‘Draw? I want to win’

Coufal was full of beans in response to the man who puts the beans in his coffee.

Because he declared that he’s going to Man City wanting to win not just draw.

“Bro please. Just draw against City for us,” the Arsenal supporting cafe owner said in a direct message to Coufal.

“Free coffee for life if you get a draw.”

And Coufal replied: “Hello mate I want to win there but you are asking just for a draw.”

To which the Gunners fan said: “Hahahahaha my brother.”

Celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has even issued a rallying cry on talkSPORT begging West Ham to ‘do it for Rice’.

But Moyes’ response when asked if he and West Ham would be ‘doing it for Rice’ was very simple: “No.”

So if you see Coufal defending like a man possessed on Sunday, you know it’s because he likes his coffee.
