Two men admitted to attacking corrections officers at an Atlantic County juvenile detention facility in 2022 in a plea deal that calls for three years to be added their stays in prison.
Bilal Rex, 20, of Atlantic City, and Samir Abdullah, 21, of Galloway, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault on a corrections employee, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said Friday.
The assaults took place Dec. 12, 2022 at the Atlantic County Juvenile Detention Center in Egg Harbor City.
Both Rex and Abdullah remain locked up for previous guilty pleas. The nature of their prior offenses wasn’t immediately clear.
Both are schedule to be sentenced on July 11.
