Russia's losses in Ukraine as of May 18: Over 1200 militaries, 43 armored vehicles and aircraft

Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine for the day from May 17 to May 18 amounted to 1410 Russian soldiers. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 14 APV (Armored personnel vehicles), two aircraft, and one helicopter, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to May 18, 2024, approximately amounted to:

  • personnel - 491,080 (+1,210) individuals eliminated;
  • tanks - 7,560 (+13) units;
  • APV (Armored personnel vehicles) - 14,595 (+43) units;
  • artillery systems - 12,639 (+36) units;
  • MLRS (Multiple launch rocket systems) - 1,071 units;
  • anti aircraft warfare systems - 801 (+1) units;
  • aircraft - 354 (+1) units;
  • helicopters - 326 units;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 10,108 (+35) units;
  • cruise missiles - 2,203 units;
  • warships/boats - 26 units;
  • submarines - 1 unit;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 17,169 (+65) units;
  • special equipment - 2,075 (+6) units.

The Armed Forces are destroying a lot of enemy equipment in the Kharkiv region. Meanwhile, the Russian army is attacking near Kryvyi Rih.

Russia has launched an offensive in the Kharkiv region to create a buffer zone to protect its border from attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
