Spurs now reportedly want to sign 'phenomenal' star who's in Bundesliga Team of the Season alongside Kane

Tottenham Hotspur are likely to have a busy summer in terms of incomings and outgoings at N17.

Ange Postecoglou hasn’t done too badly in his maiden season at Spurs, but there’s certainly a lot of work that still needs to be done.

Tottenham are likely to bolster their ranks in attack, with more strength in depth needed if they are to kick on next season.

In addition, speculation linking Richarlison with a move away means Spurs may have to replace the Brazil international if he does leave.

Over the past few months, reports linking Tottenham with one of the Bundesliga’s top stars have been doing the rounds, and these have been intensifying in recent days.

The player in question is Serhou Guirassy, who has enjoyed an outstanding campaign for Stuttgart, almost on par with Spurs icon Harry Kane for Bayern Munich.

GiveMeSport have reported that the Guinea international has made his way onto Ange Postecoglou’s radar in wake of his heroics at club level this term.

Postecoglou apparently feels Guirassy presents ‘a great opportunity to exploit the market’ because of his very modest release clause – a mere £15million.

Serhou Guirassy to Tottenham is a no-brainer after heroics this season

Guirassy to Tottenham would be a real no-brainer. He’s a ‘phenomenal‘ forward in his prime whose 26 goals from 27 Bundesliga outings are testament to his quality.

Indeed, the 28-year-old’s efforts have seen him make the Bundesliga Team of the Season alongside Kane.

‘He shoots and he scores – Super Serhou can do it like barely anyone else,’ wrote the Bundesliga website.

‘He may not be able to quite match the freakish pace of Harry Kane, but Guirassy is the proud bearer of a new Stuttgart scoring record and boasts the best shooting conversion rate in the Bundesliga.’

Let’s see what happens in the coming months, but this is certainly a solid and plausible lead for Spurs.

Tottenham would be getting themselves a top forward whose talent, eye for goal and physicality tick the boxes for being a hit in the Premier League, and for a bargain price too.
