Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now suggested one Tottenham Hotspur player could leave as early as June.
The 2023/24 campaign is now almost complete and Ange Postecoglou has had almost 12 months to assess his squad.
It has been a season which has provided its ups and downs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with some players flourishing and some really struggling.
Postecoglou has already admitted that there will be a number of players who are moved on this summer.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Bryan Gil and Giovani Lo Celso are just some of the players who are potential departures over the summer.
However, there is one player who is now sitting top of AC Milan’s wishlist ahead of the transfer window opening.
And Romano has claimed the Italian giants are now keen to complete a deal for the Spurs man next month.
AC Milan wanting to quickly seal deal for Tottenham player next month
Since Daniel Levy appointed Postecoglou last summer, the pair have seen a number of Tottenham’s long-standing servants leave the club.
Harry Kane, Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier and just a few of the names that have moved on from Hotspur Way in the last year.
Offloading more than what Spurs did may have proven a risky strategy looking back on it considering the number of injuries Postecoglou has had to deal with this season.
However, Emerson Royal is a player who has struggled massively for game time this season but is still catching the eye of one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, Romano has claimed AC Milan are looking to strike a deal early for the Brazilian right-back.
“In terms of outgoings, I expect Emerson Royal to leave because Tottenham are looking at a new right-back to have a new backup option for Pedro Porro – obviously they are super happy with Porro,” he said.
“But they want one more to create some competition and then Emerson Royal could leave. He has two years left on his contract, and there is strong interest from AC Milan – Milan have Emerson Royal on top of their list of a new right-back and they want to be fast in their negotiations.
“In June, already they could make it happen, but Emerson Royal has a really good chance to be one of the players leaving Tottenham in the summer.”

Although Emerson has struggled for game time on the whole this season, he was hailed “outstanding” by Postecoglou earlier in the season.
And the Brazilian did make a bright start under Postecoglou having netted in the Australian’s first Premier League game against Brentford.
However, his performances at left-back recently – albeit out of position – have only highlighted the need for Tottenham to improve their squad depth.
Next season is going to see Spurs compete in Europe and with that comes the need for squad rotation.
Going off his horror show against Liverpool, Emerson is not a player who looks like a dependable option for Postecoglou.
