Emile Smith Rowe says Arsenal have a ‘top player’ who’s started just one game this season

Emile Smith Rowe has been naming his five best players from south London.

South London has become something of a footballing hotbed in recent years as the likes of Eberechi Eze, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Eddie Nketiah have gone on to become stars for club and country after growing up playing cage football in south London.

Speaking to Pro Direct Soccer, Smith Rowe has named his top five players from south London, and he’s reserved some special praise for Reiss Nelson.

Emile Smith Rowe praises Reiss Nelson

The midfielder spoke highly of his Arsenal teammate, claiming that he’s a top player and one of the best to come from the south London area.

“I’ll put first obviously my teammate Reiss Nelson. A top player and I’ve been playing with him since I was about 10 years old. Then Jadon Sancho, someone who again I’ve been playing against since I was young,” Smith Rowe said.

Reiss Nelson needs a move

Every player who speaks about Reiss Nelson seems to rate him really highly. However, for some reason, he doesn’t get much of a look in for Arsenal.

Nelson has started just one league game this season, and it doesn’t look like he’s going to get anymore minutes anytime soon.

The 24-year-old needs to be playing regular football at this point of his career, and, sadly, he’s not going to get much of a chance at Arsenal going forwards.

The same could be said of Smith Rowe too, he’s barely had a chance at Arsenal this season as well.

These two young man are both incredibly talented, but we’ve not been able to see much of them this season due to the fact they’ve fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal.

Fingers crossed Smith Rowe and Nelson can fulfil their potential, even if that means they have to leave Arsenal in order to do so.
