Reporter very close to David Sullivan shares concerning update on £170 million West Ham duo

A new claim has just emerged about West Ham United duo Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus.

Hammers duo Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus have been brilliant for West Ham this season, and it is still incredible to see them playing for us.

The Brazil and Ghana internationals are exceptional players, and the fact that they’re at the London Stadium proves how far we’ve come as a club over the past few years.

Paqueta has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City recently, whilst Kudus is said to be attracting attention from Liverpool.

That doesn’t surprise me at all. The fact that we paid just under £90 million for the pair really is quite remarkable.

And it seems as though they will both fetch far greater fees than what we paid for them, whenever they leave the club…

Update on West Ham duo Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus

There is no doubt that some of the very biggest clubs in world football will be keeping a close eye on the Hammers duo.

And now an update has been provided on their futures at the London Stadium…

Sean Whetstone – a reporter with close links to Hammers co-owner David Sullivan – has claimed that West Ham will not budge on the £85 million valuations of the Brazilian and the Ghanaian.

I suppose the good news is that neither Lucas Paqueta or Mohammed Kudus will be sold for less than £170 million combined.

However, it is obvious to see that West Ham will be powerless to stop either of them leaving the London Stadium.

If Kudus and Paqueta do move on over the course of the next year or two, it will be crucial for Lopetegui to spend the funds we receive for the duo wisely.

There’s no reason why we can’t improve as a team, if the recruitment is spot on…just look at what Aston Villa have gone on to do after Jack Grealish left.

That said, it still concerns me that two of our best players could no longer be here by the time the 2025/26 campaign begins.
