Video: 1 Arsenal fan's incredibly embarrassing moment when West Ham rumour lit up the Emirates

Manchester City won the Premier League title this afternoon after beating West Ham, and Arsenal missed out on glory.

It has been an incredibly long and arduous Premier League campaign for West Ham, but the Arsenal fans were still hoping that we could somehow get a result against Manchester City today.

However, the north London club’s hopes were hit before the game even started when it emerged that a sickness bug was going around the West Ham camp.

Tottenham didn’t do the Gunners any favours on Tuesday night – that was no surprise considering the fact that the vast majority of Spurs fans didn’t even want their team to win!

Incredibly there were some Hammers fans who were thinking along the same lines today. I can’t get my head around that one, but it is what it is.

At the end of the day, we didn’t win the game, and that’s all that matters.

However, there was a moment inside the Emirates when the Arsenal fans thought that we were more than a live dog in the fight…

However, just a minute or so after that, a rumour swept around the Emirates like wildfire that West Ham had scored again to make it 2-2 against Man City.

And one Gunners fan will never live down something he did after hearing the false rumour.

Just two seconds into the video shared by TNT Sports, one Arsenal fan can be seen doing our famous ‘crossed Hammers’ sign:

That man will never live that down will he, especially if he has any West Ham fans in his life!

In fairness to Arsenal, they pushed Manchester City all the way this season, but West Ham just weren’t good enough to do them the favour they needed on the final day.

The Hammers players quite simply were not anywhere near the levels that they needed to be today, and Man City won their fourth consecutive Premier League title as a result.

The Gunners players will be feeling very down tonight, and so will the Arsenal fan who will be on the wrong end of plenty of banter over the next few years!
