Tottenham fans are all saying the same thing about Dejan Kulusevski’s display vs Sheffield United

Tottenham Hotspur fans were all left saying the same thing about Dejan Kulusevski after his goals against Sheffield United.

Europa League football was resting on Tottenham‘s trip to Bramall Lane on the final day of the season.

And it offered the north London side an opportunity to end their season on a high after a turbulent number of weeks for Ange Postecoglou‘s side.

The defeat on Tuesday night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium saw their Champions League hopes ended and it brought out the angriest version of Postecoglou yet.

However, the victory over Sheffield United saw Spurs end their season with a victory as the club now head off to Melbourne, Australia for a post-season friendly against Newcastle United.

The scoreline was opened by Dejan Kulusevski who netted his seventh goal of the Premier League campaign.

Kulusevski added his eighth of the term as he capped off the scoring with Pedro Porro finding the back of the net again with a stunning strike.

Having found the back of the net for the first time since February, Tottenham fans were all left saying the same thing on social media.

Dejan Kulusevski ends goal drought with double

It has been an underwhelming campaign for the Swedish winger who has been unable to hit his high standards on a consistent basis.

Having scored twice in the opening five games of the campaign, Kulusevski has massively struggled to prove a regular threat from the right.

Prior to the game against the Blades, Kulusevski had failed to find the back of the net in his previous 12 games.

But as the saying goes about London buses, you wait so long for one and then two come along at once.

The goals saw Tottenham fans flood to social media where they were all left saying the same thing about the Swede.

One Spurs fan was delighted to see Kulusevski return to the scoresheet, saying, ‘He’s back!’ Whilst another simply said, ‘Again I owe you an apology.’

Kulusevski was playing in a slightly different role at times, with one fan adding, ‘He’s the best false number 9 in the squad rn!!!’ Another also said, ‘Deki at striker was the best decision Ange has made this season’.

After he netted his first, one fan was stunned, ‘What a goal oh my’. Whilst another was delighted to see Kulusevski back amongst the goals, saying, ‘DEKI IS BACK YESSS’.

Dejan Kulusevski has a crucial season ahead of him

Postecoglou has recently admitted he does not fear making big decisions when it comes to potential exits over the transfer windows.

Although Kulusevski has endured a pretty poor season on the whole, there is no suggestion his place in the squad is at risk.

However, another season like this next time out could potentially see those questions being asked.

Sweden have not qualified for this summer’s Euros so the winger will have some time to rest up ahead of Tottenham’s 2024/25 campaign which will see them playing Europa League football.
