'Last game': Manager confirms 'incredible' player is leaving after being linked with Tottenham move

It has just been confirmed that an ‘incredible’ Tottenham target is leaving his current club this summer.

Ange Postecoglou’s men ended the season with a win, defeating already relegated Sheffield United 3-0 at Bramall Lane.

That moved them to 66 points and a fifth-placed finish, thus qualifying for the UEFA Europa League.

Now, planning will begin for the fast-approaching summer transfer window and it appears one Tottenham target is set to leave his club.

Andoni Iraola confirms Lloyd Kelly will leave Bournemouth

After Bournemouth’s 2-1 defeat at Chelsea, manager Andoni Iraola confirmed that Lloyd Kelly will be leaving the club.

“As expected, Andoni Iraola has confirmed to @solentsport that Lloyd Kelly has played his last game for #afcb,” Jordon Clark posted on X.

The left-footed centre-back has attracted interest from a number of clubs in the Premier League, with Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City all mooted as potential suitors, according to HITC.

Kelly’s contract on the South Coast is up at the end of June, so he is set to become a free agent and Spurs will have to move fast to fend off interest.

Lloyd Kelly statistics

Kelly, an ‘incredible’ defender, has enjoyed a marvellous season for The Cherries and his statistics only amplify that notion.

As per FBref, the 25-year-old ranks in the top two per cent for clearances and top 14 per cent for aerial duels won – evincing his tremendous defensive know-how.

Further, he’s exceptionally assured in possession and as a natural left-footer, he’d be a great rotation option with Micky van de Ven.

On a free, Spurs can’t go wrong.
