What Tottenham fans were singing about Arsenal on Sunday at Bramall Lane

Tottenham Hotspur fans were singing about their north London rivals Arsenal on Sunday afternoon in their win against Sheffield United.

Ange Postecoglou‘s first campaign as the Tottenham manager was capped off with a comfortable 3-0 victory over the Blades at Bramall Lane.

A recent run of poor form has seen Spurs forced to settle for a fifth-placed finish and Europa League qualification.

This is something which may have frustrated the Australian manager who cast an angry figure last week following the game against Manchester City.

Postecoglou issued a very honest message to the Tottenham fans for the atmosphere which was created at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

And it seems some aspects of that may have rolled over into the trip to Bramall Lane on Sunday with Spurs fans singing a new song about their local rivals.

Tottenham fans unveil new Arsenal song against Sheffield United

The defeat against Pep Guardiola’s side last week handed Manchester City the keys to the Premier League trophy ahead of yesterday’s final day.

And the reigning champions made no mistakes in getting their hands on the trophy for a fourth-consecutive season.

Goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro ensured Tottenham fans enjoyed their day in sunny South Yorkshire on Sunday.

And it seems results elsewhere really got the party going in the away end at Bramall Lane as the travelling fans sung about their local rivals

The chat of ‘Champions again’ has rung around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the Etihad by the City fans over the last week.

Spurs fans have provided their own twist on the chant with ‘Bottlers again’ sung in the away end in a sig aimed at Arsenal’s failed efforts to secure the title again.

Spurs got their job done at Bramall Lane with three points that secured them a spot in the Europa League for next season.

Postecoglou will, however, be hoping to see his side battle at the top end of the table next term after progress being shown at Spurs since his arrival.

Arsenal’s draw against Tottenham has proven very costly

A lot has been made of Tottenham’s defeat against City last week and how costly that has proven to be in Arsenal’s title race.

However, the Gunners did not exactly do themselves a favour when they were only able to take a point against Spurs earlier in the season.

Despite taking the lead twice, Heung-min Son was able to peg Mikel Arteta’s side back twice at the Emirates.

Had Arsenal won that game – which historically has favoured them massively – then they would be waking up today with a winner’s medal around their neck.
