Tottenham Hotspur eye Evanilson

According to Jornal de Notícias, Tottenham are eyeing a move for Porto’s prolific striker Evanilson, who is nicknamed after Barcelona’s Roberto Lewandowski.

Known as ‘Lewanilson’ in Portugal and Brazil, the 24-year-old has certainly backed up those claims, netting 24 goals in 41 outings.

Such form has attracted interest from Manchester United and Chelsea, too, so it seems Spurs will have to move quickly to see off rife competition.

The only stumbling block, however, is the rumoured price tag – which is thought to stand at a staggering £85m.

Evanilson statistics

It’s pretty evident that Evanilson is a clinical goalscorer but he is much more than just that.

As per FBref, the Brazillian striker ranks in the top six per cent for pass completion compared to his positional peers across the continent, evincing how astute his link-up play is.

Further in support of that notion, he sits in the top nine per cent for expected assisted goals, so it’s pretty apparent he’s the full package.

Whoever lands Evanilson’s signature this summer will be getting a well-rounded number nine.

He met yet remain at Porto, too.
