Arsenal need a new striker this summer, and Robbie Savage has just suggested an option for the Gunners.
Speaking on BBC 606, Savage has been discussing what Arsenal need to do heading into the summer transfer window, and he agreed that the Gunners do need a new striker.
Savage stated that he thinks Alexander Isak would be the ideal option for Arsenal this summer, claiming that the Newcastle striker is the man he would go for if he was in charge at the Emirates.

Savage shared his verdict on who Arsenal should sign, offering up Isak as a potential striking solution.
“A number nine, yeah I’m with you. A number nine, an out and out goalscorer, I’d go for Isak from Newcastle for me personally, 21 goals he’s a really good striker and Osimhen he’s a very good striker too,” Savage said.
Isak won’t be easy to sign
Savage is absolutely right, Isak would be perfect for Arsenal in a lot of ways.
However, getting this deal done may not be easy.
The Swede is coming off the back of the best season of his career, and there’s a real argument to make that he’s one of the best strikers in the world right now.
Newcastle paid £60m to sign Isak two years ago, and his value has only increased since then.
Arsenal would have to break the bank in order to sign Isak, and even then, that might not be enough.
Indeed, it’s been reported that Newcastle have no intention of selling Isak, and, instead, a new contract has been touted as a potential option.
Isak would be utterly fantastic for Arsenal, but, sadly, getting a player like this through the door isn’t easy, especially when you’re knocking on the door of the richest club in world football.
