'The opposite': Journalist suggests £300,000-a-week Man City player is not even close to signing for PSG

Journalist Alexis Bernard has suggested that a certain Manchester City player is not nearing a move to PSG at all.

As the 2023/2024 season is about to draw to a close, transfer rumours are set to be the talk of the town — in the lead-up to and during Euro 2024 and after the tournament finishes as well.

Ahead of the FA Cup final between Manchester City and Manchester United, Ederson has already been speculated about being open to a summer exit.

Journalist hints Man City star is not nearing PSG transfer

On Tuesday, it was also claimed that Kevin De Bruyne could leave City at the end of next season to sign for a club in the MLS.

During the same day, Pep Guardiola was reported to be leaving the club in the summer of 2025 as well.

A post was captioned: “Bernardo Silva is one step away from signing permanently for PSG!”

However, Alexis Bernard shut down the rumour by suggesting that Bernardo Silva is not close to signing for PSG in the summer.

On X, he wrote: “Well tried. But it’s quite the opposite.”

Unlikely that Bernardo Silva is even focused on Man City future

With Manchester City set to contest Manchester United in the FA Cup final, Bernardo Silva is likely only focused on the game rather than any potential interest from PSG or any club in his signature.

The £300,000-week man is expected to start on Sunday.

After a busy few weeks where the midfield maestro must have been occupied by the stress that comes with the title race as well, it seems improbable that any exit involving him was finalised.

Even after the season draws to a close, Bernardo’s focus will be on helping Portugal win Euro 2024.

The 29-year-old is one of his nation’s most key players, alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruben Dias and Bruno Fernandes.

As a result, it seems unlikely that PSG or any club will get the time of day from Bernardo Silva or his representatives about even discussing a potential move.
