A highly-rated player who Tottenham Hotspur are after has just been named his league’s Player of the Season.

Ange Postecoglou’s side endured a rocky end to the season but ultimately finished in fifth place, just two points off a Champions League spot.

Evidently, there have been clear signs of progression and the style of play has completely changed under his stewardship.

That said, the former Celtic man will be desperate to add quality to his ranks this summer and one rumoured target has just scooped an award.

Tottenham Hotspur target Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall wins Player of the Season

Leicester City’s ‘talisman’ Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been linked with a £45m switch to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The Foxes playmaker enjoyed a terrific season in the Championship, helping to bounce straight back to the Premier League as champions.

Dewsbury-Hall netted 12 goals whilst laying on 14 assists, taking his total goal contributions to a staggering 26 from midfield.

That said, it’s little surprise to see him named The Athletic’s Championship Player of the Season.

Arsenal also want Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Spurs will face competition for Dewsbury-Hall’s signature this summer, with North London rivals Arsenal also thought to be considering him, according to GiveMeSport.

Brighton and Hove Albion submitted a £20m bid for him in January, which fell way below City’s valuation, but they could return to the table.

Dewsbury-Hall will be in demand and Spurs must get a march on the deal to fend off rival suitors.
