One person rescued following kitchen fire on Sheepshead Hill, in Great Cornard, near Sudbury

One person was rescued from a property following a kitchen fire.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue were called to Sheepshead Hill, in Great Cornard, near Sudbury, at 6.44am.

Five crews from Nayland, Sudbury, Long Melford used a hose reel to tackled the blaze.

The fire was about 6 x 8 metres in size, according to a spokesperson for the fire service.

The person who was rescued was left in the care of the ambulance.

The incident was dealt with within an hour.
