Residents at Rose Lodge care home in Wisbech enjoy model train demonstration

Rose Lodge care home, in Wisbech, enjoyed a visit from March and District Model Railway Club.

Last Tuesday, staff, residents, and guests enjoyed observing Keith set up the model trains and railway linesand even got involved with coupling and uncoupling different train carriages.

One resident, Bill, reminisced about the trains he used to build years ago, Keith and the team said they would kindly donate him a train set so that he could enjoy building his own again.

Rose Lodgehas built up an excellent reputation in its local communities.

The home regularly holds events and activities for its residents and surrounding neighbours.

General manager, Megan Jones of Rose Lodge, said: “Our residents really enjoyed watching the model trains.

“The level of detail in the surrounding buildings and landscapes was amazing.

“We would like to thank Keith and all at The March and District Model Railway Club for their visit and we can’t wait to see them again”

Resident, Wendy added: “It was absolutely brilliant and so clever.”
