Carragher’s statement can apply to a whole host of Manchester City players.

It is perhaps debatable whether Arsenal have a better squad than City unlike in previous seasons.

Carragher says every team in the Premier League lack a player like City star

However, in terms of some of the very best Pep Guardiola has at his disposal, they are the best of the best in their positions in the league.

The £378,846-a-week man’s side has an edge over the rest due to this among various other factors.

Jamie Carragher thinks only Manchester City in the Premier League are satisfied with the first-choice striker within their ranks: Erling Haaland.

On The Overlap’s Stick To Football, he said: “People keep saying Arsenal need a striker. There’s not many strikers out there in the world. Everybody in the Premier League besides Manchester City are not happy with their striker really. So, that tells you there’s not many out there.”

The likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Bournemouth and Brentford could beg to differ, with Ollie Watkins, Alexander Isak, Dominic Solanke and Ivan Toney respectively in their teams.

Jamie Carragher is spot on about Erling Haaland

Jamie Carragher is right in claiming that Erling Haaland is one of the very few elite strikers in the world.

Nowadays, the number of world-class marksmen in the game is few and far between, apart from Haaland, Kane and perhaps even Osimhen.

Manchester City were perhaps aware of this reality.

As a result, City decided to make a move for Haaland in 2022 and they signed a player who has a unique place in world football.

Not only because the Norwegian international is a sensational player but due to how rare his profile is in today’s day and age.

Erling Haaland would fit right in amongst the top strikers of the 2010s such as Sergio Aguero, Luis Suarez, Karim Benzema and Robert Lewandowski.
