Kate Middleton will feel 'hesitant' over Prince William taking the throne, psychic says

Kate Middleton ‘won’t want William to step up and take the throne’ if King Charles abdicates, a psychic has predicted.

King Charles has been on the throne since September 2022, after the sad death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. Just over a year later, the 75-year-old monarch announced he had been diagnosed with cancer. Of course, this raised the question of whether he’d give the throne to Prince William. No signs of it happening yet, but amid Kate Middleton‘s own health problem, celebrity psychic Adam Norton believes she won’t want him to do it if the time does eventually come.

Kate Middleton ‘won’t want William to take the throne’ psychic predicts

Due to his health issues, celebrity psychic Adam Norton believes this could be the year King Charles steps down, and gives the prestigious duty to the next in line, Prince William.

“I do see King Charles stepping down and I feel Prince William would take his place at the backend of this year. As I tune in to the energy for this time next year, I see a new King taking the chair,” he told his Instagram followers.

However, he doesn’t think the Princess of Wales will be fond of this idea. “Whenever it’s time for Charles to step down and William to step up, I almost get the impression that Kate won’t want William to do it.”

“Not too sure why, but I almost get the impression that she won’t want him to take the throne,” he continued.

The step up will be a big change for William, however, he is carrying on with royal duties as normal now, after his wife’s cancer diagnosis.

It doesn’t look like the Princess of Wales will be back to work anytime soon though, despite being given an ‘Easter return date,’ after her abdominal surgery at the beginning of the year.

“The princess is not expected to return to work, until her medical team clears it,” a rep for Kensington Palace told BBC.

Charles wouldn’t be the shortest reigning monarch if he abdicated now

Although he’s been on the throne less than two years, if Charles did give up the throne this year, he wouldn’t be the shortest reigning monarch in Britain.

In fact, that record goes to Lady Jane Grey, the shortest reigning queen of England and Ireland, who sat on the throne as monarch for just nine days back in 1553.

The longest British reigning monarch, as we know, is Charles’ mother, Queen Elizabeth II. She served 70 years and 214 days on the throne and lived up to her duties right up until her death, something she promised the British public right from the very start.
