‘It’s a concern’: Kenny Miller sounds really worried about the Celtic vs Rangers Scottish Cup final

As the Scottish Cup final nears, the excitement of the big Celtic vs Rangers Hampden 3pm kick-off builds.

For the Celtic fans, it gives them the opportunity to celebrate a league and cup double and sign off for the summer in style.

With the form the Celtic team have been showing of late, confidence amongst the Hoops support will be high that Brendan Rodgers can pull off another result over our closest rivals and assert our dominance in Scotland.

Rangers also have the opportunity to finish off the season on a high with a cup double. But listening to Kenny Miller, you would think the Ibrox club’s chances of that are very slim.

Kenny Miller worried about Rangers stopping Celtic

The former Rangers striker was speaking about the upcoming Hampden final when he said that Rangers might need to play ‘ugly’ to stop a Celtic team that is now ‘on fire’.

Miller said [talkSPORT], “That’s the million dollar question and I’m glad that it’s not me that is going to make that game plan up.

“Because that area of the pitch has been absolutely on fire of late, Celtic.

“The McGregor’s, Hatate, O’Riley they have been the difference over the course of the games there over the season, particularly in the last one.

“So it’s a case of stopping them and that’s the thing for Rangers. And it’s a concern, actually, that they’re always looking at how to stop Celtic rather than impose your game on to them.

“Unfortunately, I just think that’s where that’s where Rangers are at this moment in time. They might need to make the game a bit ugly.

“They might need to try and stop Celtic and disrupt the game and find a way to win because it’s something that they’ve not managed to do over the course of the season in the league games.”

In four attempts this season, Rangers have not really laid a glove on Celtic. Sure, they got close to pulling off a result but that was mainly due to Brendan Rodgers’ side being lax in defence and a helping hand by VAR in the 3-3 Ibrox draw.

However, as we all know, cup football is unpredictable and Celtic have been on the wrong side of shock results before.

Hopefully, Rodgers has a game plan set up for every scenario that could present itself at Hampden on Saturday and the Celtic manager brings home the Scottish Cup to end the season in style.
