'He could': Fabrizio Romano says £300,000-a-week star could stay at Man City next season amid Chelsea links

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that a certain player looks set to stay at Manchester City in the summer.

It seems quite unlikely that there will be many outgoings when it comes to Manchester City in the transfer market.

Ederson Moraes seems like the potential standout, however, with Fabrizio Romano claiming on Tuesday that he is considering an exit.

Fabrizio Romano: 28-year-old player set to stay at Man City

In April, it was claimed that the Premier League winners are keen on selling Kalvin Phillips for £30 million in the summer, with Leeds United interested in a loan deal.

Last month, it was claimed by journalist Simon Phillips that Chelsea were interested in a shock deal for Jack Grealish.

However, Fabrizio Romano claimed that Grealish looks set to stay at Manchester City.

Romano told JD Football’s YouTube channel: “At the moment, it’s completely quiet. I think he could stay at the club. I don’t think they want to change too much in that position.”

Recently, Ally McCoist also claimed that he would have been “very surprised” if the 28-year-old was keen on an exit from the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City have no reason to sell Jack Grealish

In our view, Manchester City have no reason to sell Jack Grealish in the summer.

Even if Chelsea come calling, who are known to pay huge sums to sign players under Todd Boehly’s stewardship, there would be no rationale to selling the decorated attacker.

The £300,000-a-week man remains an integral part of their system and in the latter end of the season, he has looked in top form.

Especially against the top teams, Grealish tends to be one of City’s standout performers.

Manchester City also have two left-wingers in their ranks in Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku. Unless City intend to bolster that position in the summer, they would have no reason to let the former Aston Villa captain leave the club.

The Sky Blues will perhaps hope to sign players in other areas of the pitch rather than in the left-wing department.
