Report: Julen Lopetegui wants to make £18.7m winger with 'electric' pace his first West Ham signing

Julen Lopetegui is eager to make an £18m winger with ‘electric’ pace his first West Ham United signing this summer transfer window, according to a recent report.

Former Real Madrid boss Lopetegui has come in to replace David Moyes at the East London club and will already be planning for the fast-approaching summer window.

With no European football next year, club chiefs will be desperate to return and therefore must dip their hands into their pockets.

That said, it has just emerged, that West Ham want to sign a winger with ‘electric’ pace.

West Ham United want to sign Viktor Tsygankov

According to AS, West Ham United are one of a number of clubs interested in signing Girona winger Viktor Tsygankov.

Wolves and Aston Villa are also eager to land his signature after a stellar campaign for the LaLiga outfit, who finished third.

Tsygankov netted six times whilst laying on as many assists and is thought to be valued at around £18.7m by the Spanish highflyers.

There is a suggestion he would be open to a move elsewhere.

Viktor Tsygankov statistics

As per Sofascore, the left-footed wide player averaged a 7.15 match rating last season, which makes for very impressive reading.

Further, Tsygankov, who can also operate as a number 10, averaged an 83 per cent pass completion rate, evincing his proficient technical ability.

For £18m, the 26-year-old would represent a shrewd acquisition.
