Harry Potter star looks unrecognizable now as he tells fan to 'stay Slytherin' - 'Voldemort for life'

More than two decades on from his Harry Potter debut, Jamie Waylett, aka Vincent Crabbe, looks all grown up now – after an interesting few years for the childhood star.

Constantly looming right behind Draco Malfoy, Vincent Crabbe was one of the more cowardly members of Slytherin. And while he wasn’t one of the movie‘s more central characters, fans are still fascinated to see what all the Hogwarts stars are up to these days. For Jamie Waylett, life is a little different now to 20 years ago – and Harry Potter stans on TikTok can’t believe what Crabbe looks like 20 years on.

“Hey Ariana, this is Jamie Waylett better known as Crabbe here,” came the introduction from the former actor. Now adorning a hefty beard and a tattoo above his left eyebrow, Waylett, 34, looks markedly different, as he wishes a “Slytherin fan” a happy birthday.

While Harry Potter’s central stars like Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have gone on to have well-documented careers in Hollywood, acting appeared to start and end with the magical movie series for Waylett – who is now available to book for personalized video messages on Cameo, alongside the likes of fellow co-stars Devon Murray (Seamus Finnigan), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) and even Malfoy himself – Mr Tom Felton.

For around $200, Waylett can be hired to wish you a happy birthday, give you a motivational pep talk or congratulate you on your graduation via Cameo. As can be seen in the video below, Waylett tends to encourage fans to keep on routing for Voldemort and to “stay bad, stay naughty”.

‘Thought it was Post Malone’ – fans react to Waylett’s new look

Waylett made headlines in 2012 when he was jailed for two years for his role in the London riots, with his lawyer noting that the star had become a “withered actor by the age of 22” and struggled with fame.

Unsurprisingly, the last few years appear to have taken their toll on Waylett, who looks like an entirely different person from the teenager who left Hogwarts in the late 2000s.

“Thought it was Post Malone for a second”, joked one TikTok user in response to Waylett’s striking new appearance.

While some viewers were rather scathing about Waylett, there were plenty of fans in the comments – including one who wrote: “No wait but why am I absolutely obsessed with this?!?! Voldemort for life??? YES SIR”.

“Stay bad, stay naughty has really sent me”, laughed another Harry Potter fan.

With no acting credits to his name since 2009, it is unclear what Waylett does for a living now – though we hope his Cameo endeavors are compensating him well.
