A Newark dessert company launched a record-breaking 66 new products to its dessert range.
Bakkavor Desserts has launched a number of products which is equivalent to a product being launched every other day over 12 weeks.
The dessert company is a major employer in the Newark area and due to business growth, it invested in two new production lines to manage the increase in volume.
The extensive new seasonal ranges include some classic favourites, as well as new innovative creations.
New desserts include a peach and passionfruit trifle, a light and sweet dessert, and lemon meringue and chocolate profiteroles will also be joining the party.
Bakkavor Desserts in Newark is also the home of The Delicious Dessert Company brand with recent launches including Cookies & Cream and Millionaires cheesecake bars and Pot ‘O’ Licious Zesty Lemon Pots.
Andrjez Szokalski, general manager of operations at Bakkavor Desserts Newark said: “With summertime being our busiest period for cold foods, we are so excited to have opened two new production lines in our factory at Newark to keep the momentum going.
“As the cost-of-living crisis continues to be a challenge for many people, we are working hard to ensure we can brighten social gatherings and meal occasions at home or in the garden with delicious product ideas that will bring moments of joy to people this summer.”
Previously known as Laurens Patisseries, it opened in 1993 and was acquired by Bakkavor in 2006.
The Newark team celebrated 30 years of business in the town in 2023.
The site makes dessert products for supermarkets including Tesco, M&S, J Sainsbury’s, Asda and Waitrose.
