Estate agent proves becoming a millionaire is easier when you're 'friends with the boss'

Buying London star, Lauren Christy, has built her net worth to millions. She works for DDRE Global, the main feature of Netflix’s new show, but it certainly helps that she’s “friends with the boss”.

She is one of several talented real estate agents on Netflix series, Buying London. From South Africa, Lauren Christy has known CEO, Daniel Daggers, for years and always gets the expensive properties.

Buying London agent Lauren

Lauren joined DDRE Global with over half a decade’s worth of experience negotiating Prime Sales and Lettings in both South Africa and the United Kingdom, as a former Senior Negotiator at Chestertons.

She was raised in St. Francis Bay, South Africa, before making the move to the UK in 2021. Four years before moving, she joined 5th Avenue Properties in Cape Town as a Property Consultant.

The Netflix star later became an agent at Lance Real Estates in 2020, and then moved to the UK a year later, where she secured her first job as a Senior Lettings Negotiator at Chestertons in South Kensington.

Lauren Christy’s net worth

Lauren Christy has a net worth of $18 million (£14 million), as per The Cinemaholic. She attributes a lot of her success to what boss, Daniel, saw in her when he poached her from Chestertons.

She worked there for a year and three months before Daniel asked her to join his firm, Daniel Daggers Real Estate, and it wasn’t long before she became a high-performing agent at DDRE Global.

Her average sales are now close to £15 million. That’s because although she started with deals of around £500,000, she has now closed sales on homes valued as high as £27.8 million!

Friends with boss for years

Known as the top agent at DDRE, Lauren Christy never tires of reminding the rest of the Buying London office about her long-term friendship with boss, Daniel Daggers, which “helps” her career.

Daniel’s apparent favouritism towards her causes a clash with another colleague – Rasa – in an explosive feud which reaches boiling point and could threaten the future of the business.

Viewers are convinced there’s a romance there between them, but it’s strictly business. He told her, “Thank you and couldn’t have got to where we are without you. Now we go to the next level 🚀.”
