Donald Trump admits Barron's height is 'little on the tall side' - But 'he's good-looking'

Donald Trump recently discussed his son Barron’s appearance, saying “he’s a little on the tall side” but complimenting his looks.

Donald Trump was already a billionaire icon when he was inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States in January 2017. Famed as both a powerful businessman and media personality for shows like The Apprentice, some of the spotlight has inevitably widened its scope to focus on his family too. Members such as his wife Melania and son Eric are often covered the media, but less public is Barron, Trump’s youngest son of 18. However, his dad recently took the time to share some insight into their relationship—and make some comments.

Donald Trump says his son Barron is a ‘little on the tall side’

The 77-year-old former president spoke with Kayal and Company on Philadelphia’s Talk Radio 1210 WPHT earlier this May, the conversation steering towards Barron.

“He’s a little on the tall side,” Donald remarked on his son’s appearance. “I will tell you, he’s a tall one, but he is a good-looking guy.”

Barron is 2.01 m tall (6′ 7″), and much has been made of his height over the years. For example, the New York Post wrote a piece on him being 6′ 7″ even when he had just turned 15 years old. The average height for a 15-year-old boy is roughly 5′ 7″, putting him a whole foot above the average height even back then.

His dad is 1.9 m (6′ 3″) and his mother Melania is 1.8 m (5′ 11”), making him taller than both.

From a young age, Barron has expressed an interest in sports. He even signed for D.C. United Academy as a midfielder, later relocating to Florida to study at Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach following the end of his dad’s presidency.

Donald Trump calls Barron great ‘student’ set to enter politics

Barron graduated from the academy in May 2024, and Donald was also open to discussing what’s in store for his son’s future during the aforementioned radio appearance.

He’s anticipated to make his political debut at the 2024 Republican National Convention taking place in July, serving as one of the 41 at-large Republican delegates to represent Florida alongside siblings Eric, Donald Trump Jr., and Tiffany.

Donald remarked that Barron is already a “smart one” who admires the political industry.

“He’s seen it,” he commented. “He doesn’t have to hear. He is a smart one. He doesn’t have to hear much. But he’s, he’s a great guy. And he’s really been a great student. And he does like politics. It’s sort of funny. He’ll tell me sometimes, ‘Dad, this is what you have to do.’”

When expanding the conversation into the topic of college, Donald said that a lot of “college choices are changing,” arguing that “Biden has totally lost control of the country.”
