Manager Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team vs Rangers for today’s massive Scottish Cup Final at Hampden.

The full match squad is as follows:

Starting XI – Hart, Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor, McGregor, O’Riley, Hatate, Forrest, Maeda, Kyogo.

Substitutes – Bain, Palma, Idah, Kuhn, Nawrocki, Iwata, Bernardo, Ralston, Welsh.

Celtic are shooting for a league and cup double today, facing off against the Ibrox side in this final for the first time in 22 years.

It’s a huge occasion and although the Bhoys are unbeaten against Rangers this season, Rodgers’ side will need to be at their absolute best to get the job done today.

The manager has made five changes to the rotated team that beat St Mirren on trophy day with Alistair Johnston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Liam Scales, James Forrest and Daizen Maeda all coming back into the eleven.

Broadcast details

Today’s match is live on BBC One Scotland, Premier Sports 1 and BBC iPlayer in the UK & Ireland.

Celtic TV will also be providing coverage to global subscribers of the club streaming service outside of the region.

Dozens of broadcasters around the world are carrying the game including Paramount+ in Australia and Star+ in Brazil. A full list of global channels can be found via LiveSoccerTV.

If you can’t get to a television, BBC Radio Scotland will have audio commentary over the airwaves and online.

The verdict on Celtic team vs Rangers

This is the team everyone expected to see at Hampden today, including ourselves. It has the right mix of intensity, experience and creativity to get the job done.

One of the big calls Rodgers had to make was whether to start Kyogo or Adam Idah. The Japanese star’s exceptional record of seven goals in 13 matches against Rangers makes him the right pick.

Idah can come into the game in the second half to freshen things up and provide a different kind of threat to the Rangers defence. Nicolas Kuhn, Luis Palma and Paulo Bernardo could all get game time from the bench, too.

This one won’t be a walk in the park but Celtic are favourites for a reason and the team now have to live up to that billing.
