Celtic's Unique Angle captures what Callum McGregor did after Adam Idah's winner vs Rangers

Celtic’s Scottish Cup final win over Rangers was beamed live into homes all over world as Scotland’s biggest two teams contested one of the oldest cup competitions in football.

The live event was covered by multiple camera angles so that the watching Celtic fans at home wouldn’t miss a single thing about the game.

VAR was also in play to ensure that none of the big decisions were missed (which is something I’ll get into later).

The point is, the coverage of the game was wall-to-wall so that every bit of the action was brought to the Celtic fans.

Well, almost every bit.

Callum McGregor’s leadership on show as Celtic fans celebrated

Callum McGregor is a brilliant leader on the pitch for Celtic. After Adam Idah fired in what would eventually be the Scottish Cup winner against Rangers, as the fans and players celebrated, McGregor was captured doing what the Celtic captain does best:

The Celtic captain was clearly conscious of the fact that the game was almost over and that the team didn’t lose focus.

After conceding late against Rangers in the 3-3 draw Ibrox and then almost immediately after going 2-0 up against them at Celtic Park win in May, McGregor was clearly keen to ensure his team stayed focused for the remainder of the game.

Which was just as well. Despite scoring late into the game, there were eight minutes of extra time added on at the end which meant Rangers still had plenty of time to grab an equaliser.

Thankfully, the Bhoys held firm and the Scottish Cup now rests in the Parkhead trophy room. And that is thanks, in part, to McGregor ensuring that his message immediately after Celtic scored was hammered home to the players.

And you know what was superb? Every player instantly regained focused which is a testament to how the Celtic team respect their captain.
