It’s going to be equally as fascinating to see who leaves Newcastle United this summer as it will be to see who comes in.
Obviously, the insatiable nature of the transfer window generally focuses around who your club is signing.
Since PIF’s takeover at Newcastle, the major stories have been big-name incomings.
Still, the club are reportedly looking to raise money through player sales this summer to try and balance the books when it comes to FFP.
As such, many players are facing an uncertain future.
Kieran Trippier is said to be one of them, while Callum Wilson also may go. Miguel Almiron could also depart amid interest from Saudi Arabia.
Clearly, the club will have to make decisions on a number of players this summer.
One of those is young Yankuba Minteh.
The winger, hailed as “exceptional” during a stunning loan spell with Feyenoord in which he won the Dutch Cup, is set for a chance to impress Eddie Howe during pre-season.
With Almiron potentially leaving, a space could well open up on the right-hand side of the attack.
Still, such is the excitement about Minteh, Premier League teams are interested.
Everton are keen to sign Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle
According to the Daily Mail, Everton are one of the teams interested in the 19-year-old.
The Merseyside club are believed to have posted their interest, albeit it remains unclear as to whether or not they are chasing a loan move or a permanent deal.
Furthermore, the Toffees are also said to be unsure as to their financial standing this summer amid a protracted takeover saga.
Newcastle have already made a decision on Yankuba Minteh’s future
Earlier this month, it was claimed that Newcastle were willing to send Minteh back out on loan this summer, in a potential boost to Everton’s chances.
Still, it remains to be seen if the offer of a permanent signing would tempt to Newcastle into selling during a period in which they could surely do with the money…
