Students from Wisbech & King’s Lynn Tang Soo Do martial arts club travelled to Nottingham to represent their club in the 2024 World Association National Championship.
The championship was held at the David Ross Sports Village on the university campus and there were around 380 competitors.
Wisbech & Kings Lynn students won a fantastic 26 trophies over four categories - weapons, forms, sparring and team forms.
Preparing for a competition like this one takes a lot of hard work and dedication and their hard work has paid off.
Instructor Donna Harvey thanked the dedicated parents who travel with the club to these events, not only in the UK but around Europe and even the USA.
She said: “The absolute highlight for me was watching one of my newest students compete for the first time. Jain Davison started her martial arts journey with me at 62 years young and I was so proud when she returned home with two trophies.”
The next training goal is focused on students testing for their next belt, which takes place in early June. Then in July, the GB team will travel to the USA to compete at the world championship and then the last competition for 2024 will be the regional championship in November.
The club trains on a Monday evening at Lynnsport and on a Thursday evening at Walton Highway Village Club.
